New poetry fund from the Scottish Poetry Library and Creative Scotland

The Poetry Pamphlet fund is a pilot fund to support Scottish poetry pamphlet publishers. To provide some help in this time of financial uncertainty, the fund will be a one-time opportunity for eligible publishers to apply for grants of £500-£750. The available funding pot for this pilot program is £10,000. Grants are intended to support the practice of pamphlet publishers. This can include funding for ongoing or already-planned projects, such as marketing costs, publication costs, author fees, and production costs.

Any pamphlet publisher based in Scotland may apply. The publisher must have published at least two poetry pamphlets to a professional standard in a physical format between January 2021 and December 2022. Pamphlets may be in English, Scots or Scottish Gaelic (or a combination of them). A decision making panel made up of staff from the Scottish Poetry Library, Creative Scotland and bookselling/pamphlet publishing will meet after the deadline. Following the panel meeting, decisions will be communicated by the 31st of May, 2023 at the latest.

The application form can be downloaded from the Scottish Poetry Library here.

Applications must be received by 10am on the 3rd of April, 2023.
