None of what the Trust does would be possible without those who have gone before, worked with passion and brilliance and laid the way for an Edinburgh of books, words and ideas.
Particular hat tips to Peggy Hughes and Anna Burkey, both of whom, while serving as Communications Executives for the City of Literature Trust, were pure genius and to Sophy Dale, Project Manager way back when it all began.
Without volunteers, the work of the Trust would not be possible. Love to you all, volunteers.
The Trust’s freelancers have enviable skills. Thank you, every single freelancer who has entered, resplendent and heroic, to rescue the Trust. Special thanks to Chris Scott, literary paparazzo, whose pictures grace much of this site (www.chrisdonia.co.uk).
The Trust is part of a Collaboration Group which brings together organisations across the city to help plan the future of Edinburgh as a UNESCO City of Literature. The members are City of Edinburgh Council, Creative Scotland, Edinburgh International Book Festival, Lomairt, National Library of Scotland, Publishing Scotland, Scottish Book Trust, Scottish Poetry Library, Scottish Storytelling Centre.
