About Story Shops

The Edinburgh City of Literature Trust supports and promotes the new voices emerging from our city, and once again we will be running Story Shop at the Edinburgh International Book Festival.
Celebrating the short story and its compact beauty, drop by the Bookshop Tent each day at 4pm for a free 15 minute reading of original new fiction. A chance to hear some of the up-and-coming writers living and working in Edinburgh today.
Story Shop 2010 Line-Up

Every day a different author will take centre stage at 4pm sharp in the Book Shop Tent, which is freely accessible to the public, even those without tickets for Book Festival events. A great way to get a taster from some of our up-and-coming local writers and sample the atmosphere at the Book Fest at the same time.
