The Scottish Storytelling Centre are brightening up our July and kicking off festival season with their July Folk Festival. From pipes to poetry, they have it all covered with their jam packed programme.

This day event offers a number of talks and workshops introducing us to the influence of the Jacobite movement in Scottish songs and stories.

Cafe Voices
A regular on our City of Literature calendar, Cafe Voices embraces folk and brings us three themed evenings; Scots Histories, Tales of Rescue and Highland Folk Tales.

Tiny Tales: The Mini-Beastie Maloo
Stories for wee ones... Come along and join Maria Carnie and the Mini-Beastie Maloo. Ages 6 months – 2

Stories from the Sea and Shore
Jump on board to meet selkies, changelings and maybe even a fisherman or two. Scottish tales for 7+

Robert Burns in Song and Story
Take part in this day workshop which celebrates our national Bard, looking at Burn’s many voices and how they resonate with contemporary Scotland.
