To celebrate 30 years of Edinburgh’s iconic fictional detective, Ian Rankin and the Orion Publishing Group are hosting RebusFest, a weekend of literature, art, film, music, and much more besides, running from 30 June to 2 July.
The festival will take place in Edinburgh across various different venues in the city, providing fans and readers with a wonderful opportunity to explore the world of Ian Rankin’s much loved detective.
The weekend consists of several interactive events, live music, walking tours, screenings, food and drinks, and talks on the historic and contemporary influences on Rebus. Immerse yourself in the world of John Rebus with an evening of spoken word and live music at Queens’s Hall, or head along to a crime writing workshop at the National Museum to explore the essential skills and techniques behind writing a piece of crime fiction.
Keep your eyes peeled too for some City of Literature words on the street as we take to the street with surprises and fun around the city, as well as running community events across the weekend.
The full festival line-up can be viewed over on Ian Rankin’s website.
