In the month of July you will be able to join the Scottish National Portrait Gallery on a walking tour of Robert Louis Stevenson’s New Town, and more.
Starting with a short talk in the Victorian Heroes and Heroines exhibition at the Portrait Gallery, the afternoon walk includes the northern New Town, Greenside and Calton Hill, as it explores Robert Louis Stevenson’s Edinburgh. With historian Alastair Learmont.
If you decide to go, remember to dress for the weather, and be ready and able to walk at a reasonable pace. Tours cover less than two miles of walking and are generally appropriate for all ages and fitness levels, but please use your best judgment. The tours will go on rain or shine. In cases of severely inclement weather on the day of the tour, the tour will remain in the gallery.
The Gallery recommend booking to avoid disappointment as spaces are limited to 15 places.
