Information
The second of the Edinburgh City Reads, Central Library’s new events series, explores the work of one of Scotland’s most successful contemporary authors. Iain Banks has written over twenty books and enjoyed great success in his career with titles such as The Crow Road, The Wasp Factory, The Steep Approach to Garbadale and his most recent, Transition. His success is unique in that it has been achieved in two genres: literary fiction; and the science fiction books written under the name Iain M Banks. He will be discussing his career and work with Alan Taylor, writer and journalist, who will be coaxing the best from Banks. There will be a reading, an audience Q&A, and a book signing.
