Information
The Warrior Poets: A Multinational Perspective on World War Two | This event, co-hosted by the University of Edinburgh’s Centre for the Study of the Two World Wars and the Scottish Poetry Library, explores the poetry of the Second World War with a particular focus on questions of national identity and Britishness. It will address the work of iconic poets who were killed in action such as Alun Lewis and Keith Douglas and the specific contribution of combatants such as Sorley MacLean and Hamish Henderson, as well as the work of lesser known poets.
