Be it confrontational or conciliatory, emotional or detached, all good writing has attitude. It comes through the characters, the setting, the themes and the structure of both short stories and novels. But how does it get there?
This two hour workshop will explore the idea of ‘attitude’ in writing through examples, discussion and short exercises. Participants will be encouraged to examine the dominant attitude in their own writing and to consider ways it can be focussed and controlled to enhance their writing practice.
